For my card today, I've done some merging again (what a surprise, lol).  I used the new and oh-so-sweet Wee Stamps images: Dandelion Girl and Sympathy Bugs. They were paired up with two sentiments from the Love Postage Stamps set (cut out using the Postage Stamp Die then layered using another die cut) and the Everyday Circle Postmarks.  I think this would be a perfect card to give for a younger newly wed :)  The corners were cut out using the Corner Dies Set.  It was a bit difficult to do the "out of the box" technique with the image, but hopefully it still turned out okay : /

I have to make this short, as it's a busy day for me, but I hope you enjoy my creation for today! Make sure to check out the Whimsy Inspirations Magazine that is releasing on February 29 to find more inspiration!

Stamps: Whimsy Stamps Dandelion Girl and Sympathy BugsLove Postage Stamps sentiments, Everyday Circle Postmark sentiments; Coloring medium/ink: Copics on Make it Colour blending card stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black; Papers: Crate Paper, maybe?; Embellishments: lace trim, Stickles; Tools: Whimsy Stamps Postage Stamp Die and Corner Dies Set, Cuttlebug (I will find a reincarnation of you soon), Spellbinders Nestabilities, Cherry Lynn heart frame die

For my card today, I've done even MORE merging using some cool KennyK dudes! I broke out the markers this time for coloring.  I was a little ashamed to show off the new Ryder Cole (left) image because a couple of days ago, Alberto had a really awesome card with some great coloring.  You should head to his blog for coloring inspiration after you finish our mini hop for today.  Anywho, the guy on the right is Cool Kid, which was released last month, but I hadn't gotten a chance to ink it up yet so thought it would be fun to put these two together!

The sentiment is from the Retro Bottle Cap Sentiments set that was released a while back.  It was cut out using the matching Bottle Cap Die.  Another die cut was placed behind it to make it stand out a little.

The rest of this card is pretty basic, actually!  Just lots of layering (12 pieces of paper at one spot, hehe) and sewing.  It was hard to NOT sew the images and I had to start and stop a few times.

Make sure to come back tomorrow for another showcase from me!  I have a Sylvia Zet creation next time :)

Stamps: Whimsy Stamps  Ryder Cole, Cool Kid, and Retro Bottle Cap Sentiments sentiments; Coloring medium/ink: Copics on Make it Colour blending card stamped with Memento ink in Tuxedo BlackPapers: Echo Park A Boy's Life 6x6 paper pad; Embellishments: none! Tools: Whimsy Stamps Bottle Cap Die, Cuttlebug (now dead, sniff sniff), sewing machine

Ann Vento (me!)

For my card today, I've done some merging and watercoloring again!  This time, I've used two of Meljen's new images: Party Time Cat and Party Penguin.  The sentiment is from the Fanciful Birthday Notables 1 set (cut out using the Notables 1 die) that was also just recently released.  Do you see that awesome chipboard frame around it?!  Well, of course it was designed from the oh-so-talented Zoe and is also available at Whimsy HERE.  The balloons were cut out using the Whimsy Stamps Balloon Die Set and given a little character using various Cuttlebug embossing folders.  I thought it would be fun to use some twine to tie up the balloons to the die cut :)

The big die cut behind the image is a Cherry Lynn die and I actually broke my Cuttlebug trying to cut it out :(  Luckily, I have the Grand Calibur as a backup, but that thing takes forever to roll through something.  As soon as I have some money, I will be replacing my dear old Cuttlebug.

Anywho, hope you enjoy my creation for today!  Make sure you come back again tomorrow for card!

Stamps: Whimsy Stamps Party Time Cat, Party Penguin, and Fanciful Birthday Notables 1 sentiments; Coloring medium/ink: Distress reinkers stamped on Arches hot press watercolor paper using StazOn ink; Papers: I don't remember; Embellishments: Make it Crafty chipboard, twine; Tools: Whimsy Stamps Balloon Die Set and Notables 1 die, Cuttlebug (sniff sniff), Cuttlebug embossing folders, Spellbinders Nestabilities, Cherry Lynn Sunflower die, Tim Holtz distressing tool

Remember that the entire new release is available to buy right now from the Whimsy Stamps store along with all your Whimsy favourites.

For today's showcase, I've used all of Crissy's new ADORABLE new images!  I love masking and since I have limited stamping time these days, what better way to ink up all the stamps :)  The sentiment is from the new Fanciful Birthday Notables 1 set, which I thought went perfectly with this group of critters.  The sentiment says "Count your life by smiles, not tears.  Count your age by friends, not years."  The sentiment was cut out using the Notables 1 die and layered on top of the Elegant Notables 1 die.

I did some watercoloring for the first time in a long time. Boy am I rusty and I wasn't great to begin with, haha.  The card is pretty simple since the image panel took up most of the space.  Hope this inspires you to grab up some of the new stamps and have some fun with them!
